Boudoir Shoot - FAQ
Most popular questions that our clients ask about Boudoir
How soon should I book my shoot if I need it for a special event?
Generally it's recommended to shoot 10-12 weeks prior to needing any products in hand, this is to ensure there is enough time for selecting your favourites, the editing process & getting any products manufactured and shipped to you seamlessly.
As soon as you know you have an important event on ie. wedding, anniversary, pregnancy etc. I'd get in contact right away as I can at times be booked out months in advance so I'd hate for anyone to miss out! You can book in advance and reschedule if required. This is also a great way to start a pre-payment plan so once your shoot comes around, the shoot is already paid off.
Do you travel?
Yes! I've shot in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney and beyond. Feel free to contact me for any particular locations you'd like your Self-Love session from.
Will you post my photos?
No. Not unless you say it's okay! Every client featured on my social media or website has given me permission to do so. My number one priority is making sure our clients feel 100% comfortable and if you'd prefer to keep this private/anonymous then that's completely okay!
Do you Photoshop my images?
Skin retouching is applied to each image which will usually buff out most blemishes, bruises etc. (unless requested otherwise) but our general rule is that if something is permanent it can be softened but not removed; stretch marks are normal and so beautiful, Boudoir is about embracing every part of you! In terms of editing your body, lighting, posing and angles are what is focused on as opposed to any type of Body Morphing. Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don't like and embracing the parts you do! x
What makes you different/better than other Boudoir Photographers?
Honestly, I can't say that I'm better than any other Boudoir Photographer out there because all of us creatives have something unique to offer, it all depends on you and what you're looking for! What I can say is that your comfort is my #1 priority, I know without a doubt you will be taken care of through this process with me so if there's one thing to look out for in the photographer you choose; I'd make sure it's someone who is going to make you feel comfortable and at ease while taking these intimate portraits.
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You can wear whatever you want to wear (or not want to wear)!! Some women feel more comfortable in a robe/lacy sleepwear and some feel most empowered in nothing at all. It's completely up to you and whatever makes YOU feel most comfortable and confident!
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! There is a non-refundable session fee deposit to lock in your shoot and then since most of my clients book in advance, you can pay in installments leading up to your session, pay in full on the day or go onto a payment plan afterwards (payment plans after shoot incur 50% due on day) Completely your choice and what works best for you.
Can I bring a friend to the shoot?
Generally, I prefer to work one on one with my clients, simply because an 'audience' can often be distracting but if you'd prefer someone there for moral support then that's completely fine, it is just limited to one person.
Otherwise, I have a deal where if you book in with a friend and have both your shoots on the same day then you can split the session fee meaning your session fee will be discounted by 50% off plus you can shoot with or before/after your friend! So much fun and you have each other as moral support!
